The FILM

The title of our film is " Under the Same Curse" and I think we all did a great job.
I am watching it now again on the mobile phone and it brings good memories. We laughed a lot while we were making it. Not all of the time though. Sometimes it was too hard to get it all done in time.
First, our group was Carme, Catalina, Aina, Marie, Biel and Miquel and me . We had to write our script first and check it all. This was quite hard. Then we had to decide who was who. That was easy but Marie had to be play a male part because we didn't have enough boys. She did it really well. I was the leading role of Stanley because I like speaking English a lot.
The next part was the filming.  I think it was good fun but hard work at the same time. We all live in different places, Colonia, Artà ,Sant Llorenç so meeting up was a bit complicated. My group was a good team I think and everyone was nice if somebody couldn't turn up for some reason. We worked well together on all the filming of the scenes. I must admit it took a long time. We didn't manage to finish all the scenes at Carme's house so had to go back another day. We had to film again at Aina's finca too. I was getting tired of it all and glad when we finished.  I think it took us so long because we wanted to make it look really good. We took a lot of time with costumes, make-up and hair gel even.
It was very authentic.
For me the best part were the funny parts. I had to try so hard not to laugh at some points like when I I had to say " I smell like a pig". We had to do lots of re-takes.Carme and me laughed so much in the final scenes when she has the baby doll in her arms. We showed some funny re-takes at the end of our movie.
The animation part was very hard to fit in but a good idea to tell the story more quickly. I think it made the film look quite funny and different. I think it would be better to let the students choose which scene they want to animate as everybody with a pig animation is a little bit boring.
Another hard part was the editing, mainly because of time. I preferred to have a bigger role in the acting as I haven't got a good camera or phone and am not so good at this so all the technical parts were mainly done by Cate and Carme.
In general, it was a good experience and we all participated in the things we liked or were better at.
I am proud of the results. I think we made a great film and the best thing is we had fun too even if it was hard work.
Also, it is good to change and do things like mini-movies and plays. You can learn lots of things and working together helps you solve the problems.

METALS

METALS POST: The definition of metal is any of the elements with a positive electrical charge, typically with a shiny surface and a good conductor of heat. An example of metal is gold.   Types of metal -There are 2 types of metal : ferrous and non-ferrous Ferrous metals contain iron. Non-ferrous metals do not contain iron. A pure metal only consists of a single element. This means that it only has one type of atom in it. The common pure metals are:-aluminium, copper, iron, lead, zinc, tin, silver and gold. Ferrous metals are steel, cast iron and carbon steel. Ferrous metals are not malleable,( they do not bend as easily). Some ferrous metals are very strong, long-lasting, and magnetic. These characteristics are beneficial for building or for use in certain industries. Here is a steel skeleton structure used for building houses and flats.( source: www.pixabay.com)   N on ferrous metals are not attracted to a magnet and they also do not rust in the same way...

STRUCTURES

POST NUMBER 4: Structures A structure is something that has been made or built. Structures are not just buildings and really structures are everywhere, in the natural world too. For example, a spider's web or honey-comb are examples of natural structures while a house or a wall are man-made structures. A structure is not only a big construction but even small simple things that you see and use everyday and everywhere. A handbag or a pencil case and even a football is a structure. Most structures are built for a special purpose for example a bag  to keep things or a bridge to cross a river. But natural structures can happen by accident and over long periods of time, for example stalactites in caves. Basically , structures are EVERYWHERE! Structures can have many uses and usually help us in our everyday lives.ALL structures have certain things, which are a definite shape and size and a definite purpose. A structure will serve a specific function so its shape and size will depen...

Push yourself. Anybody can learn.

+ HOUR OF CODE POST This video is good because it helps you see how that everybody can learn new things. Coding is a new thing for most people and it is very important in the 21st century. The importance of programming:  We live in a digital world where computers and software are making big changes to how we live. If we can get a computer to do tasks and solve problems we can make big progress. Coding and programming is the future so we should learn  as much as possible and try to improve our computer skills. Programming is about giving the tools to learners so that they can experiment and practise and then create.  Nowadays, many jobs involve information and technology and there are digital solutions for almost everything. You can use GPS to find your way and drones to take photos from the sky....there is no limit! So if you have the skills to use technology to invent and create new things it is fantastic. In my opinion, coding is a skill that all students should ...
